Dorothy Erlanger
is a speaker, business founder, owner and entrepreneur. With
over 28 years of business
knowledge and consulting experience. She brings to her top-ranked
global clients a unique blend of training, consulting and personal
experience. Dorothy's capability as an outstanding group facilitator
with a continuous emphasis on actionable results
makes her a sought after speaker.
During
her consulting career, her broad range of assignments have extended
globally to Asia, Europe, South Africa, and the Mideast as well
as the United States and Canada. Her language fluency in Spanish
and Portuguese has proved especially helpful to clients in Latin
American countries. Because of her vast international training
experience, Dorothy has been a featured speaker two consecutive
years at the annual meeting of the American Society of Training
and Development (ASTD).
Even more than
her career, Dorothy's personal experiences and hurdles have significantly
contributed
to the Proactive Pathway process. Dorothy overcame physical and
emotional hurdles including a serious birth defect of her right
hand, being the first woman hired into an all male industry and
surviving a cancer diagnosis at the peak of her career. Building
past these challenges, Dorothy established a successful international
consulting business, while at the same time giving back to her
business and educational community and helping others realize their
own potentials.
Dorothy is
an inspiration through her professional accomplishments as well
as through her personal journey. After successfully beating
ovarian cancer in 2001, Dorothy competed in her first triathlon,
only 10 months after completing chemotherapy. In her words,
she did it as a “celebration of victory over cancer.”
Since then, Dorothy has competed in many more triathlons, half-ironman
competitions and even an ironman competition as part of a 3-man
relay team. It’s this fervor in facing obstacles that
has gained her the respect of both men and women throughout her
personal and professional life.
